General
Another popular sector with a good concentration of blocs in a relatively small area, giving the area a nice variety of problem styles and grades.
Approach
The blocs are best approached from Choi Fai Estate at the bottom of Jat’s Incline, which has parking at the estate as well as minibus service (No. 16 from Ping Shek Estate in Choi Hung). From the bus stop, walk up Jat’s Incline until reaching the staircases just before those leading to the Sam Fung Temple (三峰廟), about 5 minutes from base of Jat’s Incline.

The sectors at Sunset Forest are best accessed via a small concrete footpath a short distance down the road from the main staircase leading to the Sam Feng Temple. This concrete path leads you quickly to a small concrete platform, from which a small dirt trail accesses the forested hillside beyond in its back left corner. Follow this trail directly up and into the forest to quickly reach the blocs themselves.

The Great Sail Sector is accessed via the Crown Sector, taking a small dirt trail up the hill in the area just up and left of the Spectral Bloc and following this for a few minutes.
Blocs

Great Sail
Please take care with pad placements not to disturb the water pipes supplying the temple. In fact, why not help out a bit and continue building little rock mounds over these (you’ll see some small areas already) to help protect them from pads and people…

1) Sail To the East *** V3
Start matched on the obvious crimp above the left side of the undercut roof. Pull on and move right to the ledge, before going back left along the hanging arête to finish.
2) Striker ** V2
Start matched on the obvious crimp above the left side of the undercut roof. Make a powerful move to the ledge up and right of this, before topping out via the groove above. Also fun footless.
3) Thousand Sunny 千陽號 (sds) ** V4
Start on the sloping ledge and the blocky jug to the right of this. Make a powerful move to the side pull above the ledge before cranking up and right to the hanging jug. From here make big moves out left before topping out through the prow.
4) Thousand Sunny Eliminate (sds) ** V5
Follow the previous line to the side pull, but eliminate the two jugs above the roof and make a long move left to the lower ledge on Striker, which is the followed to top out.
5) Going Merry 黃金梅利號 (sds) ** V5
Start on the blocky jug for the left and an undercut/pinch to the right of this for the right. Make a powerful move to get the crimp on the lip before reaching back left for higher crimps on the slab. Rock onto the slab and climb this to finish.
Slab King
Located just up and left of Great Sail is a fine technical slab that seems to see little attention despite being a mere one-minute walk from the highly frequented Great Sale Bloc.

1) Easy Crack * V0
Follow the big crack.
2) Chris’ Arête (sds) ** V3
Sit start at the obvious flaky jug in the middle of the wall. Make tricky moves out left to get established on the left arête of the face, which is then followed to the top with the aid of holds on the slabby wall too.
3) Slab King (Project)
Start with a small left gaston and a pebble for the right. Avoiding any use of the seam on Soup Dragon or the left arête of the face, climb the slab above.
4) Slab King (sds) (Project)
Anyone who can do the sit start to the Slab King Project can truly call themselves a slab king!.
5) Soup Dragon (sds) *** V6
Start sat at the jug in the middle of the face. Pull up and right to follow the thin seam until it runs out, making a long move left to a pocket high in the middle of the face. Top out directly above this.
Ghost Blade
The low but long bloc located just behind Great Sail and off to the side of Slab King.

1) Ghost Blade (sds) ** V3
Start on the good crimps and climb up.
2) True Damage (sds) ** V4
Start on the sloper, and a low good crimp.
3) Emotional Damage (sds) ** V4
Start on two slopers, make strong moves.
The Submarine
A moderately sized bloc located off in the trees to the left of the Slab King bloc.

1) Cockpit (sds)* (V3)
Start on a good pinchy sidepull, climb up along the ridge.
2) Yellow Submarine (sds) ** (V5)
Start on a side pull and an undercut, traverse all the way to the left, the crimps on the slab can be used, just try not to stand on the slab and walk…
3)
As for Yellow Submarine, but pull through the lip earlier and move up the slab
4)
Start under the ceiling and climb directly up the the finish of Yellow Submarine.
Strength Bloc

1) Strength 力 * V5
One-move problem, moving from matched on the sloper at chest height up to the lip.
Jip Bloc

1) Bumper Head (Left) (sds) ** V3
2) Bumper Head (sds) *** V4
Start at the good undercut beneath the roof, make technical moves to gain the top shelf.

3) Streamline (sds) * V2
Start on a good jug, use the edge to traverse all the way right.
4) Drive By (sds) * V2
Start on two gaston crimps, move up the edge above.
5) Highway to Hell (sds) * V6
Start as for Drive By, traverse to right using small crimps and side pulls. Avoid using the edge of the top.
6) Torn (sds) V4
Start on a double gastons, make shouldery moves to get to the top.
7) Boulderizer (sds) ** V3
Start on a side pull crimp, get the crimps above.
Adjacent Sectors
Raika Sector – follow the trails up the hill and along the stream line from the Great Sail Bloc to eventually reach the top side of Raika or the Silken Cave. Alternatively head towards the Strength Bloc and continue left from here to arrive near The Chief (more overgrown)
Crown Sector – back down the small trail just off and right (looking back down the hill) from the Great sail Block.
Kaze Sector – best accessed by going back to the Crown first
